Reconstruction & Upgrading of Zarqa- Azraq Highway

Scope :
Construction of approximately (47.3 km) of existing road to four lanes devided highway by new construction of two lanes adjacent to the existing road, and rehabilitation of the existing road dual carriageway with 2x 3.75 m travel lanes in each direction plus 3.0 m outer shoulder and 1.8 m inner shoulders, and a central median of 2.0 m wide.

Construction of service roads at each side for about 4 km. Construction of two fully directional interchanges and three overpassess over the main road for minor cross roads, in addition to slip ramps, cross roads diversions and tapers, construction of roundabout at station 0-000, construction of retaining walls and drainings structures consisting.

Relocation, realignment and diversion of existing utilities. Street lighting civil works for interchanges. Street lighting installations for the interchanges and service roads. Traffic signing and traffic marking. Traffic safety installations and slope protection treatments. Drainage works including culverts, dykes, slope protection and ditches.
